Apple unveiled the iPhone 16 series and the iOS 18 update at an event the other day. With the new operating system, many innovations were introduced to the Camera app. Among them is a new button that allows you to pause and resume video recording.
iPhone camera now has a pause button for video recording
With iOS 18, which will be released next week, users will see a new pause button on the left side of the screen when recording video. Tapping this button will pause the recording, and tapping it again will resume it.
This will allow users to record a single video at different intervals instead of starting and stopping separate videos each time. Users will be able to pause the recording at any time and pick up where they left off.
The existing button in the center of the iPhone camera will continue to end recording. Apple said the new pause button will make it easier to take long or multiple shots without interrupting the overall video.
Of course, it should be underlined that this feature has been on Android devices for years. Google has allowed video pausing in the camera app for many years. This allows Android users to stop recording video at any time.
iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, packed with the latest features, will be released for devices on September 16. It will also attract attention with Apple Intelligence.
